kitchenteam1Equipped to offer both catered and self-catering events, our dining room comfortably seats about 28 people, and can accommodate 60 or more for buffets. In fine weather there is a terrace with outdoor tables and chairs, and ample space elsewhere in the grounds for outdoor eating, barbecues and picnics.

For catered groups we normally provide a continental style breakfast,including fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, etc., although full English breakfast is available at an additional cost.

Lunches typically include home-made soup with a variety of breads, home-made quiches, cold meats and salads or jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, followed by fresh fruit or yoghurt.

Afternoon tea is served with home-made cakes.

Dinner is normally two courses, consisting of a meat-based or vegetarian dish accompanied where possible by local fresh vegetables, and a home-made pudding, dessert or fresh fruit.

Tea and coffee is available as required. Given advance notice, we are happy to cater for specialised diets or any other specific needs.

For self-catered groups we can offer a fully equipped catering kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, a six-burner stove and oven, two large refrigerators and a chest freezer. All cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are available.

    Also a repeat visitor. This facility would make a great venue for a scholars retreat, where a group of collaborators could work together without the distractions. Only improvement would be better internet for bringing in any experts necessary to help the group. [We'll hook you up to the Ethernet next time, Mike! A lot faster than wi-fi!] Staff were very helpful, accommodation's very nice.
